911 Freedom of Expression One Artist's Reaction to Terror

I am a patriot and I love the United States! These art here expresses my sad feelings to the events of 911, my reaction to the media and the events I experienced then as presented by the media. At the time, the press kept talking about "the cell." In these paintings I draw the cell as a metaphor to a cell. I also draw about the media and news reports. I remember where I was on 9-11. I was painting a painting at my house in McKinney Texas. I was a housewife and mother. I wasn't watching television and I didn't know what was happening. I then heard a knock at the door. It was my neighbor from accross the street. I opened the door and greeted her with a smile. She was very serious and began to ask me questions. She asked if I knew what was happening. Puzzled I answered "No." She then told me what happened. These paintings are about my reaction to what I saw on television and what was happening. On that day, I didn't have canvases so I grabbed cardboard and prints of other art and just began to paint.
